I had a wonderful time staying at Kahuna. The location near the beach is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hotel's garden is a peaceful oasis and the cabanas are cozy and enjoyable. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, recommending a doctor for my boyfriend's injury and providing us with great tips for exploring the area. The French bakery in the front served delicious breakfast, including the best coffee we had in Sri Lanka. a charming place with a vintage-style bungalow and great amenities.
I do recommend this hotel.

I recently had a fantastic stay at a charming hotel in Sri Lanka. The hotel's garden was like a secret oasis, where monkeys and squirrels frolicked among the coconut trees. It was the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Located just a short walk from the beach, the hotel offered a great location.
Breakfast at the hotel was a highlight. Although it consisted of similar options each day, such as croissants, jam, butter, and fruits, it was still the nicest breakfast we had during our stay in Sri Lanka.

We were thrilled with our recent stay at a delightful hotel nestled within a lush garden. The well-maintained cabanas provided a cozy retreat, and the owner's kindness was exceptional. They went above and beyond by recommending a doctor for my boyfriend's injury and sharing valuable local tips. We loved it so much that we stayed twice during our visit to Sri Lanka. highly recommended!

I had always dreamed of visiting the Old Town of Galle and its Fortifications, and choosing the Kahuna Hotel for its close proximity to this landmark was a great decision. I was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary wireless Internet access, which allowed me to stay connected during my stay. The free daily manager's reception was also a wonderful feature, where I could enjoy some complimentary drinks and socialize with other guests.
The guest kitchen at Kahuna was quite poor and not the most comfortable place to cook our meals. The shower heads in the bathroom could have been better.

Great value for money and delicious breakfast. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk away from the stunning beach and surrounded by excellent cafes and restaurants. The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help.
The beds are a bit uncomfortable and made up of two singles pushed together. , the narrow and busy street can be challenging to navigate, especially when walking to the beach.

The morning meal could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

This hotel is located incredibly close to the beach, with a quick and easy walk to get there. Despite the proximity to the beach, the hotel is also quiet and peaceful, away from the noise of surrounding bars and restaurants. the rooms themselves are spacious, with comfortable beds and a lovely garden area to relax in. the breakfast provided is delicious and there are even on-site cafes and bakeries for additional snacks.
Some areas of the hotel could use improvement, such as the bathrooms which may be outdated or in need of a renovation.
